Kyslytsia Meets with Political Director of the Netherlands Foreign Ministry: Focus on Weapons, Air Defense, and Path to EU

In a pivotal meeting held in Kyiv, Serhiy Kyslytsia, the First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, engaged with Marcel de Vink, the Director General for Political Affairs at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This encounter marks a crucial step in the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the Netherlands, as key topics concerning security, defense, and Ukraine's European integration were thoroughly discussed.

In his message on social media platform X, Kyslytsia expressed his pleasure in meeting de Vink and extended gratitude for the Netherlands' ongoing support in the defense sector. He emphasized that the Netherlands holds a leadership position within the PURL initiative, showcasing their active contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Kyslytsia highlighted that the discussions encompassed not only joint projects for the production of modern Ukrainian weapons but also ways to enhance the security of airspace both in Ukraine and Europe as a whole. This issue is particularly relevant given the contemporary security challenges facing the region.

Moreover, Kyslytsia noted that the meeting also addressed the prospect of further high-level contacts, indicating both parties' intentions to bolster diplomatic ties. He recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warmly welcomed Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in Kyiv in March of this year, marking a significant step in the evolution of bilateral relations.

Kyslytsia further stressed that both sides exchanged views on measures aimed at ensuring accountability for Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
