Kirovohrad Region Tops National Roadwork Performance Rankings, Says Kuleba
Kirovohrad region has emerged as the leader in roadwork completion across Ukraine, achieving over 62% of planned projects, according to Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba.
According to a report by Ukrinform, Oleksii Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, announced in a Facebook post that Kirovohrad region is demonstrating the highest results in roadwork completion in Ukraine. He stated that the region has achieved an impressive figure of over 62% completion of planned works.
Kuleba emphasized that Mykolaiv and Rivne regions are also showing good results. Specifically, in Mykolaiv region, 55% of planned works have been completed, while Rivne region has achieved 49%. These figures highlight the active efforts of regional administrations in the field of road construction and repair.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reported that work on key international routes is progressing actively. Currently, around 1,500 individuals are working on Ukrainian roads, organized into 170 teams, who are daily undertaking crucial tasks related to the repair and restoration of road surfaces.
Kuleba noted that the plan for the upcoming week includes addressing deformations over an area of 820,000 square meters. This is part of a large-scale program aimed at restoring road infrastructure in Ukraine, which seeks to improve the quality of roads and ensure safe transportation.
It is important to remember that as of the end of February this year, over 23 million square meters of roads in Ukraine were in need of repair. This figure underscores the urgency of carrying out roadworks and the importance of investment in this sector.
In light of this, Kuleba urged all citizens to support the government's efforts in restoring road infrastructure, as quality roads are essential for the safety and comfort of all road users.
