Kimberly Guilfoyle, U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Builds Basketball Court at Residence in Athens for €50,000

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. Ambassador to Greece and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., is actively enhancing her residence in Athens by constructing a basketball court. This development was reported by Daily Mail, which detailed Guilfoyle's plans for the new sports facility.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. Ambassador to Greece and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., is making headlines as she embarks on a project to build a basketball court at her official residence in Athens. The news emerged from a report by Daily Mail, which provided an in-depth look at Guilfoyle's ambitious plans for the sporting facility.

The idea to create a basketball court reportedly came after Guilfoyle met with the presidents of the renowned basketball team Olympiacos, Panagiotis and Georgios Angelopoulos. During this meeting, she was gifted a custom-made jersey bearing the name of the team's legendary player, Vassilis Spanoulis, which seemingly inspired her to pursue this project.

In December of last year, Guilfoyle signed a construction plan for the basketball court, just weeks after her meeting with the Angelopoulos brothers. According to the terms of the contract, the new court is to be completed within 45 days. Should there be any delays in the project, penalties are stipulated; however, it remains unclear whether construction has already begun.

The court will feature additional elements such as a chain-link fence, windbreak screens, and LED lighting. The total cost of the construction is set at €50,000, which is approximately $58,000. However, considering potential additional requirements for the court, the final cost may end up being higher.

Furthermore, Guilfoyle is requesting the U.S. government to employ a personal photographer at the embassy, with an annual salary of €25,000. The contract for this position requires evening and weekend work, amounting to a total of up to 20 hours per month.

The U.S. Ambassador's residence in Athens, known as Jefferson House, is situated in the prestigious Kolonaki district, which also boasts a luxurious garden and swimming pool. Daily Mail notes that Guilfoyle has fully immersed herself in the social life of Athens, attending receptions and parties.

Guilfoyle began her diplomatic career by participating in a party at a nightclub hosted by Greek pop singer Konstantinos Argiros at the end of October. Billionaire Eric Vasilatos was also present at this event, and Guilfoyle was later spotted with him in London and Miami.

Reports indicate that Donald Trump Jr. may visit Greece ahead of the NATO summit scheduled for July 7 and 8 in Turkey.

The 57-year-old Kimberly Guilfoyle has served as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece since early 2025. Previously, she was an active representative of the Republican Party and worked as a host on Fox News. After graduating from university, she briefly served as a prosecutor in San Francisco.

In 2018, Guilfoyle began dating Donald Trump Jr., reportedly during the time he was still married to Vanessa Trump. The couple separated at the end of 2024. Guilfoyle's first husband was the current Governor of California, Democrat and vocal Trump critic Gavin Newsom, with whom she was married from 2001 to 2006.

In November 2025, Guilfoyle attracted public attention when she appeared at an official reception in a 'naked dress,' which became a topic of discussion across media and social networks.
