In Odesa, emergency rescue operations have been completed in the aftermath of a Russian attack that took place during the night from Sunday to Monday. This information was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) via its Telegram channel.
According to the latest updates, the assault resulted in the deaths of three individuals, among whom was a child. Additionally, 17 people sustained injuries. Rescue teams successfully saved seven individuals, including one child. This tragedy serves as yet another stark reminder of the brutality of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
More than 200 rescuers and 44 units of SES equipment were deployed to manage the consequences of the attack. This deployment underscores the scale of the operation and the severity of the situation that rescuers faced. They worked under dangerous conditions, as attacks on civilian areas continue unabated.
Initially, reports indicated three fatalities and 16 injuries; however, following the completion of rescue operations, the number of injured has increased to 17. In the Primorsky district of Odesa, the enemy's shelling destroyed a residential high-rise complex and seven private homes, delivering a significant blow to local residents.
In the Kyiv district, damage was reported to one high-rise building, five private houses, a private preschool facility, a shop, and 27 vehicles. These destructions highlight the ongoing attacks on civilian infrastructure, which have raised deep concerns among the population.
The State Emergency Service urges the public to remain vigilant and adhere to safety measures, as the situation remains tense. Authorities continue to work on restoring the affected areas and providing assistance to those who have lost their homes.
