Candice King and Stephen Kruger Tie the Knot Before Welcoming Their Child

American actress Candice King, a star of the popular series 'The Vampire Diaries,' and actor Stephen Kruger, known for his roles in the series 'Wasp' and 'The Originals,' recently tied the knot in a heartfelt ceremony. King and Kruger chose to marry at the High Point Farm chapel, located in picturesque Tennessee. Initially, the actors had planned to host a grand wedding in Nashville this fall, inviting numerous guests. However, upon learning of Candice's pregnancy, they decided to alter their plans for a more intimate ceremony.

Kruger, who is set to become a father for the first time, and King, who already has two daughters—Florence and Josephine from her previous marriage to Joe King, the guitarist of the band The Fray—decided to hold their wedding ceremony with only close family members present. 'We decided to have a modest wedding ceremony in Nashville with just our closest relatives, postponing a larger celebration until next year. There were only 15 guests, including Candice's daughters and my two nieces. Everything was perfect. We were thrilled with how it all turned out,' Kruger shared his impressions.

Candice King also expressed her feelings about choosing her wedding dress. 'I was very nervous trying to find a dress that made me feel like a bride and a mother, rather than a character from 'Ghostbusters' hopping down the aisle,' she noted. Ultimately, the actress chose a crepe dress from the brand Grace Loves Lace, which highlighted her elegance and style.

Interestingly, although Candice King and Stephen Kruger are stars of the same television franchise, they had never met on set. 'We lived near each other in Atlanta for years and shot in the series 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Originals.' We love to joke that we probably shared the same room dozens of times and never noticed each other,' Kruger recounted, who proposed to Candice in 2025.
