DTEK, one of Ukraine's largest electricity suppliers, has released the hourly power outage schedules for Thursday, April 9, affecting Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The information was made available on the company's official Telegram channel, detailing the times and durations of the outages.
DTEK, one of the largest electricity suppliers in Ukraine, has published the hourly power outage schedules for Thursday, April 9, specifically for the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. This information was shared on the company's official Telegram channel, which also included details regarding the timing and duration of the outages.
According to a statement from Ukrenergo, on April 9, all regions of Ukraine will experience restrictions on electricity supply. For residential consumers, the outages will last from 07:00 to 22:00, while industrial consumers will face outages from 07:00 to 23:00. This decision was deemed necessary due to a power deficit in the energy system, caused by the repercussions of previous attacks on energy facilities.
The schedules released by DTEK provide detailed information on the hours during which electricity will be cut off for consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The accompanying infographic contains crucial information for those who rely on electricity in their daily lives.
It is noteworthy that on April 8, Ukrenergo also informed the public about the forced hourly outage schedules that were in effect from 19:00 to 22:00 across all regions of Ukraine. This was a result of high energy consumption levels and the need to reduce the load on the energy system.
The reasons for implementing such restrictions are linked to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities. Specifically, on April 6, Russian forces struck a DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region, resulting in significant damage. The company indicated that restoring the damaged facilities will require time and resources.
Additionally, on the same day, a power facility in the Novgorod-Seversky district of the Chernihiv region was also damaged due to a Russian attack. These incidents highlight the challenging situation in Ukraine's energy sector, which continues to face challenges due to military actions.
Thus, the power outage schedules for April 9 represent an important step towards ensuring the stability of the energy system amid a power deficit. Consumers are advised to plan their activities in advance, taking into account the outage times to avoid inconveniences.
In this regard, DTEK urges all consumers to adhere to the outage schedules and be prepared for possible changes in electricity supply conditions. The company continues to work on restoring damaged facilities and ensuring stable electricity supply for its customers.
