Ukrainian Armed Forces Confirm Strike and Fire at Bashneft-Novoil Oil Refinery

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that on April 1 and 2, Ukrainian defense forces successfully struck the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery, situated approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border in Ufa, Bashkortostan. The attack resulted in damage to the facility, followed by a fire on the premises.

According to the General Staff's report, Bashneft-Novoil is one of Russia's largest producers of high-quality lubricants, including marine, hydraulic, and motor oils. The refinery has an annual processing capacity of around 7 million tons, making it a crucial component of Russia's fuel and energy complex. The facility is also utilized to meet the needs of the Russian military, emphasizing the strategic importance of its destruction for the aggressor's military operations.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces noted that the extent of the damage is currently being assessed; however, it is already evident that striking such a significant target could have a substantial impact on the capabilities of Russian forces.

Additionally, the report mentioned strikes on the Kulikovsky training ground located in Novopetrivka, within the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as an ammunition depot in Uspenivka. These strikes have also caused considerable damage to the enemy's military resources, confirming the effectiveness of Ukrainian forces' operations.

Moreover, Ukrainian defense forces targeted areas of enemy troop concentrations in Kotlyne, Shandryholove in the Donetsk region, and Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk.
