General Staff Confirms Strike on Bashneft-Novoil Oil Refinery in Ufa

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has officially confirmed that the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery, situated in Ufa, was struck as a result of attacks executed by Ukrainian defense forces. This information was shared on the official Facebook page of the General Staff.

According to the details provided by the General Staff, on April 1 and 2, the Ukrainian defense forces targeted significant facilities belonging to the occupying forces. As a result of these attacks, damage to the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery was reported, leading to a fire on the premises of the facility.

This oil refinery is located approximately 1,400 kilometers away from the state border of Ukraine. Bashneft-Novoil is one of the largest producers of high-quality lubricants in the Russian Federation, including marine, hydraulic, and motor oils. The refinery has a primary crude oil processing capacity of around 7 million tons per year, making it a crucial component of Russia's fuel and energy complex.

The Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery plays a key role in meeting the needs of the Russian military, underscoring its strategic importance amid the ongoing military aggression. It has been reported that a significant fire erupted as a result of the strikes, a fact confirmed by Radiy Khabirov, the head of Bashkortostan, who reported on the consequences of the drone attacks that occurred on April 2.

In addition to the oil refinery, Ukrainian forces also targeted the Kulikovsky training ground located in Novopetrivka, on the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as an ammunition depot in Uspenivka. These strikes are part of a broader operation aimed at destroying military facilities of the enemy.

Furthermore, according to the General Staff, areas of concentration of enemy personnel were struck in Kotlyne and Shandryholove in the Donetsk region, as well as in Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. These attacks indicate the active measures taken by Ukrainian military forces in response to aggression from Russia.

It is important to note that these events are unfolding against the backdrop of an ongoing armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has persisted for over a year. The Ukrainian defense forces continue to undertake measures to protect the state and eliminate the military capabilities of the enemy, which is critically important for ensuring national security.
