In March 2023, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine received substantial financial backing through grant contributions totaling €3.2 million, highlighting the critical role of international aid in restoring the country's energy infrastructure.

In March 2023, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine received significant financial support in the form of grant contributions amounting to €3.2 million. This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine via the social media platform Telegram, emphasizing the importance of international assistance in the recovery of the country's energy infrastructure.

According to the announcement, contributions to the fund came from two countries: Iceland and Slovenia. These funds are part of a broader international support initiative aimed at aiding Ukraine in the recovery of its energy sector, which has suffered substantial damage due to military actions.

Furthermore, in March, Ukraine's partners announced new contributions that will significantly enhance financial support. Specifically, the United Kingdom plans to provide €57.9 million, Italy will contribute €10 million, and the province of Alberta in Canada will allocate €155,000. Additionally, it is expected that €12.5 million will come from Canada, €10 million from the European Commission, €5.4 million from Denmark, €4.8 million from Germany, and €1.5 million from Croatia.

It is important to note that thanks to the Fund's mechanism, contracts for the supply of critically needed equipment totaling approximately €41.7 million were signed in March. This equipment includes upgrades to substations, generation, and gas infrastructure, such as pipeline fittings, high-voltage electrical equipment, cable products, battery systems, as well as materials for restoration work and personal protective equipment.

According to previously signed contracts, equipment worth nearly €11.5 million has already been delivered. This includes diagnostic complexes and transformer materials that ensure the stable operation of generation facilities and monitoring of energy equipment, which is crucial for maintaining the country's energy security.

Overall, since the establishment of the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, it has received grant funds totaling nearly €1.854 billion. These funds have been collected from 37 foreign sponsors across 26 partner countries and three international organizations, reflecting broad international support for Ukraine during this challenging time.

It is worth recalling that from December 2022 to February 2023, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine attracted €602.5 million from 16 countries, the European Union, and the private sector. This financial support is critically important for the restoration and modernization of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which requires urgent repairs and upgrades.
