Energy Efficiency Fund Temporarily Suspends Acceptance of New Applications for the 'GreenDIM' Program
The Energy Efficiency Fund, responsible for implementing energy efficiency programs in Ukraine, has announced a temporary suspension of new applications for the 'GreenDIM' program due to the depletion of available financial resources.
The Energy Efficiency Fund, which oversees the implementation of energy efficiency programs in Ukraine, has officially declared a temporary halt to the acceptance of new applications under the 'GreenDIM' program. This decision comes as a result of the exhaustion of current financial resources, as reported by the Fund's press service.
In an official release, the Fund stated: 'The Fund consistently adheres to the principle of complete financial accountability: for each accepted application, we reserve funds to ensure that every homeowners' association (OSBB) has 100% confidence in guaranteed financing. As of today, the resource of 100 million UAH, released from the Fund's reserves for the implementation of the 'GreenDIM' program, has been fully exhausted. A queue has already been formed for the entire indicated amount from previously submitted applications.'
It is noted that the resumption of new application acceptance, as well as the review of those that have already been submitted but not approved, will only occur after the arrival of the corresponding funding. This means that homeowners' associations planning to utilize the program will have to wait for new funding to be able to submit their financing applications.
Recall that at the beginning of April this year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution developed by the Ministry of Community Development, which provides for an increase in the authorized capital of the state Energy Efficiency Fund by 629.7 million UAH. Thus, the total capital of the Fund will exceed 3.6 billion UAH. These funds will be used not only for the 'GreenDIM' program but also for the expansion and continuation of other important programs, such as 'EnergyDIM' and 'RenewDIM', as well as for partial reimbursement of costs for building insulation, installation of accounting devices, and housing restoration.
The 'GreenDIM' program was introduced to support homeowners' associations in implementing energy-efficient measures, allowing for reduced energy costs and improved living conditions. However, due to limited financial resources, the Fund has been forced to suspend the acceptance of new applications, which has raised concerns among many communities.
The Energy Efficiency Fund urges all interested parties to keep an eye on updates and announcements regarding the resumption of the 'GreenDIM' program. It is important to note that stable financial support from the state is necessary for the successful implementation of such initiatives, ensuring that homeowners' associations can obtain the necessary resources to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings.
