The auction concluded with Promvok LTD emerging as the successful bidder, offering an impressive total of 137.778 million hryvnias.
This information was released on the official website of ProZorro.Sales, the platform responsible for conducting auctions for the privatization of state property. The starting price for this property was a mere 101,386 hryvnias, excluding value-added tax (VAT), indicating the highly competitive nature of the bidding process.
During the auction, a total of 13 participants vied for the property, significantly driving up the final price. According to the State Property Fund, the value surged by more than 1300 times, from the initial price of 101,386 hryvnias to the winning bid of 137.778 million hryvnias. "The buyer is also required to pay VAT amounting to 23 million hryvnias, bringing the total economic effect to approximately 160.7 million hryvnias," the institution emphasized.
The privatized property is located in the Svyatoshyn district of Ukraine's capital. Following the complete payment of the lot, including VAT, the new owner will gain control over a complex consisting of 25 real estate units. This property includes production, administrative, storage, and auxiliary buildings, as well as structures and infrastructure comprising networks for electricity, heating, water supply, and sewage, along with fencing, ramps, and more. The total area of the property is 3,493.3 square meters.
The ultimate beneficiary of Promvok LTD, which is registered in Dnipro, is Anna Kolesnik. This fact may indicate new opportunities for the development of fisheries in Ukraine, as the privatization of such properties can attract investments and modernize the industry.
It is noteworthy that the previous auction for the sale of the property complex of the Scientific Breeding and Genetic Center for Fisheries was deemed unsuccessful by the State Property Fund. At that time, the starting price was set at 202,772 hryvnias, and 41 participants competed for ownership of the property. The best offer for this enterprise was made by Concept House LLC, amounting to 86.9 million hryvnias.
Thus, the results of the repeated auction reflect a growing interest in state property and the potential for privatization in Ukraine, which could have a positive impact on the country's economy.
