Evacuation of Relative of Ukrainian Marine: Successful Operation by Angels Unit

The special reconnaissance unit of the Ukrainian Navy, known as Angels, recently executed a multi-stage operation aimed at evacuating a relative of a Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine. This individual had been hiding in occupied territory after being declared wanted by Russian military forces.

The special reconnaissance unit of the Ukrainian Navy, known as Angels, recently executed a complex multi-stage operation with the goal of evacuating a relative of a Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine. This man had been in hiding on occupied territory for an extended period after Russian military forces declared him wanted.

According to information provided by representatives of the unit, the reason for the man's wanted status was that he shot one Russian serviceman and injured another while defending his property. During this incident, the relative of the Ukrainian Marine sustained a penetrating injury, after which he was detained and sent to a hospital. However, seizing the opportunity, the man managed to escape from the medical facility and, despite his injury, walked 60 kilometers to safety.

For the following years, he remained in hiding from the occupying authorities until he was able to establish contact with his family. Military officials reported that the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, tasked the unit with finding and evacuating the civilian from the occupied territory. After establishing contact with the man, he was given detailed instructions regarding the route and behavior at checkpoints.

According to reports, due to high fire density and the inability to use vehicles, the man traveled approximately 10 kilometers by bicycle to the meeting point. During this time, he was under constant surveillance from reconnaissance drones and protected by FPV drones. To ensure a safe corridor, enemy checkpoints along the route were attacked by Ukrainian drones.

Upon meeting with the escort team, the man continued to navigate through field roads to avoid major enemy hubs. The operation concluded successfully with the evacuation of the man, who has since reunited with his family in Ukrainian-controlled territory.

The planning of this complex evacuation involved fighters from various units, including the Marine Brigade, the 79th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the 426th Separate Drone Systems Regiment of the Marine Corps of the Navy.

Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, the commander of the Navy, noted that the Angels unit has been operational for over four years as part of the Ukrainian Naval Forces. During this time, they have successfully evacuated more than one hundred military personnel and civilians from occupied territories. "This is not an easy job; these are not just numbers. I am very proud that such a unit of true professionals exists within the Naval Forces, which has conducted many operations. Moreover, each operation is unique, they are all specific, and they are all prepared with great care," Neizhpapa emphasized.
