Erdogan to Putin: It is Important that Peace Efforts Face No Obstacles

In a statement released by the Directorate of Communications of the Turkish presidency, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan underscored the importance of ensuring that efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine proceed without hindrance. Furthermore, the Turkish leader expressed concern regarding the ongoing conflict in Iran, stating that it should not create new hotspots of conflict in the region. Erdogan made it clear: "Turkey does not approve of attacks against Iran, just as it does not support corresponding actions by Iran against countries in the region... Contacts continue with all parties to prevent further escalation of the conflict, aimed at achieving peace and stability."
