Svitolina stated, "Every year is different, but nothing changes — for me, it is always an incredible feeling that I receive. A bouquet of different emotions. The main thing is that you play for your country. For me, that is the most important. For an athlete, when you step out and have Ukraine written behind you — it gives you goosebumps." She also added, "For me, this is the most important thing in my career - playing for the national team or competing at the Olympics. I always try to approach this and be in my best form. Of course, it is not always possible, as there are many other tournaments. But for me, this is probably the most important tournament there is."
