Drones Fly 1400 km: General Staff Reports Strike on Oil Refinery in Russian Ufa

In a recent report, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Ukrainian defense drones successfully struck the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery located in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. This information has generated significant resonance among both the Ukrainian and international communities.

In a significant development, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that Ukrainian defense drones executed a successful strike on the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery, situated approximately 1400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border in Ufa, Russia. This announcement was made public on the official Facebook page of the General Staff and has sparked considerable discussion and interest among various stakeholders, including military analysts and political commentators.

The strikes on key enemy facilities were carried out on April 1 and 2, according to the General Staff. As a result of the attack on the Bashneft-Novoil refinery, damage to the facility was recorded, leading to a fire breaking out on the premises. While the extent of the damage is still being assessed, it is already evident that this incident could have a significant impact on Russia's fuel and energy complex.

The General Staff emphasized that the Bashneft-Novoil refinery plays a crucial role in the fuel and energy sector of the Russian Federation. It is primarily utilized to meet the needs of the Russian military, making it a strategic target for Ukrainian defense forces. The refinery is one of the largest producers of high-quality lubricants in Russia, including marine, hydraulic, and motor oils, with a primary oil processing capacity of approximately 7 million tons per year.

In addition to the strike on the oil refinery, Ukrainian defense forces also targeted the Kulikovsky training ground in Novopetrivka, as well as an ammunition depot of Russian troops in Uspenivka, located in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. Furthermore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck areas where enemy personnel were concentrated in Kotlyne, Shandryholove in Donetsk region, and Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy's losses are currently being verified.

It is important to note that earlier, the head of Bashkortostan and various Russian Telegram channels reported on the drone attack on April 2, as well as the fire that erupted at the oil refinery in Ufa. These events underscore the increasing threats to Russian military facilities, which could, in turn, affect the course of military operations on the front lines.

Thus, the Ukrainian defense forces continue their active operations, striking at strategic enemy targets, which demonstrates their capability to plan and execute operations at considerable distances from the front lines. This highlights the importance of drone technology in modern military conflicts and their role in ensuring Ukraine's national security.
