Russian Agent Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Coordinating Strikes on Military Targets in Kyiv
A woman acting as an agent for Russian intelligence services has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Dniprovskyi District Court in Kyiv for her role in coordinating strikes on military facilities. The verdict was announced by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
The Dniprovskyi District Court in Kyiv has handed down a significant sentence to a woman who operated as an agent for Russian special services, coordinating attacks on military targets. According to reports from Ukrinform, this information was revealed in a statement from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
It has been established that the data obtained by the woman was utilized for the preparation and adjustment of strikes on Kyiv. Prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General demonstrated in court that she acted on behalf of representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation, indicating the seriousness of her criminal actions.
Throughout 2025, while moving around the city, the woman conducted covert photo and video documentation of military objects. She identified their precise geolocation coordinates and transmitted this information to her curator via the Telegram messenger. This reveals a high level of organization in her activities and an intent to inflict harm on Ukraine.
Law enforcement officials apprehended the agent in Kyiv while she was carrying out another assignment. During a search of her mobile phone, investigators discovered correspondence, coordinates of military facilities, and recorded materials that served as substantial evidence of her collaboration with Russian intelligence services.
A criminal proceeding was initiated under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which stipulates liability for treason in a state of war. The court, taking into account all circumstances of the case, found the agent guilty of treason.
As a result, the court imposed a sentence of 15 years of imprisonment with the confiscation of all property. Until the verdict takes legal effect, the woman will remain in custody without the right to bail, which is standard practice in cases related to treason.
This incident is not an isolated case. As reported by Ukrinform, a court recently also sentenced a Russian agent to 15 years in prison with property confiscation for attempting to blow up a territorial recruitment and social support center in Kherson. This underscores the serious threat posed by Russian agents in Ukraine and the determination of law enforcement agencies to combat them.
