Detinization of Fuel Market: 10 Illegal Gas Stations Shut Down in Three Regions

In a significant crackdown on the illegal fuel market in Ukraine, authorities have identified and closed down 10 illegal gas stations across three regions, according to a report from the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB).

As part of active measures to detinize the fuel market, Ukraine has discovered and shut down 10 illegal gas stations (GS) in three regions. This information was reported by the press service of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB), as conveyed by Ukrinform.

The majority of violations were recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where seven illegal gas stations were liquidated. These stations operated in the cities of Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and Kryvyi Rih, raising concerns among local residents and authorities.

In the Poltava region, one gas station was found operating for over a year without any permits. This station sold fuel of unknown origin, posing serious risks to both the budget and consumers who could potentially receive substandard fuel.

Additionally, in the Kharkiv region, two illegal gas stations were shut down, which were functioning in different localities of the area. In all cases, the operators were selling gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas acquired from underground producers without any documents verifying their origin or quality certificates.

These gas stations operated without licenses for trading excise goods, which constitutes a gross violation of legislation. As a result of the conducted operations against illegal circulation, over 51,000 liters of questionable fuel were seized, including 16,500 liters of diesel fuel, 20,500 liters of gasoline, and over 14,000 liters of liquefied gas.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the Territorial Office of the BEB in the Kyiv region also terminated the activities of five illegal gas stations that were operating in the Bilozerka district. These actions are part of the government's overall strategy to combat illegal fuel circulation and protect consumer rights.

The efforts of law enforcement agencies aimed at eliminating illegal gas stations are intended not only to detinize the market but also to ensure the safety of consumers who have the right to receive quality and safe fuel products. Authorities urge citizens to be cautious and refrain from purchasing fuel at illegal gas stations, as this could jeopardize their health and financial security.
