Ukrainian Paratroopers Destroy Russian D-30 Howitzer in Myrnohrad, Donetsk Region

The 25th Separate Airborne Brigade, known as the Sich Brigade, has announced a successful military operation that led to the destruction of a Russian D-30 artillery installation in Myrnohrad, located in the Donetsk region. The brigade shared details of this incident on its official Facebook page, accompanied by a video showcasing the combat operation.

According to the report, after the initial strike was executed using an FPV drone, the enemy, believing that simple camouflage with a few branches could protect its positions, suffered a significant defeat. As a result, the D-30 howitzer, which was situated in the Myrnohrad area, could not be salvaged and was reduced to scrap metal. This incident highlights the effectiveness and precision of aerial reconnaissance, as well as the coordinated efforts of attack drones, which have proven indispensable in modern combat conditions.

The military emphasizes that traditional camouflage methods are no match for contemporary aerial reconnaissance technologies and precise strikes carried out with the use of drones. This further underscores the importance of integrating cutting-edge technologies into combat operations, enabling Ukrainian forces to effectively eliminate enemy equipment while minimizing losses among their own troops.

According to Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the onset of the war against Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,306,500 personnel by April 8, 2026. Notably, in the last 24 hours alone, 1,030 Russian military personnel were reported killed. These figures reflect the substantial losses the adversary has suffered as a result of active combat operations and successful missions conducted by Ukrainian forces.

It is worth noting that the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade is one of the key units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, actively participating in combat operations in the eastern part of the country.
