In a recent interview with Ukrinform, paratrooper Revutsky shared details about a significant operation that took place in Mala Loknia, where Ukrainian forces eliminated an enemy battalion along with its commander and deputy. According to Revutsky, during this operation, approximately 35 Russian soldiers were taken prisoner. The defeated unit had attempted to shield itself by hiding behind a women's colony; however, Ukrainian troops were unaware of any potential presence of prisoners and decided against striking the area to avoid civilian casualties. Unfortunately, it was later revealed that there were no prisoners in the colony, and this did not save the Russian soldiers from defeat.

As a memento of this important event, Revutsky kept the chevron of the eliminated Russian commander with the call sign 'Otmyel,' whose real name was Sergey Chebnyov. The paratrooper plans to donate this chevron to a museum to commemorate this victory and honor the memory of those who fell.

Following the successful operation, the paratroopers learned that the chief of staff of the destroyed battalion had fled from Mala Loknia. This individual was later appointed commander of the same unit, despite the fact that its personnel had already been significantly reduced due to losses.

Revutsky also noted that in the Kursk region, his battalion had powerful assault groups that meticulously monitored all attempts by the enemy to infiltrate the rear of the Ukrainian forces. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of these units, a significant number of servicemen from the 155th and 810th brigades of the Russian Navy were eliminated.

According to data published by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the war against Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to April 6, 2026, amount to approximately 1,304,490 individuals. Among them, 940 were killed in just the previous day, indicating the ongoing losses faced by the Russian army at the front.

This information underscores the importance of each individual operation conducted by the Ukrainian military and the role that paratroopers play in defending the country. Photos illustrating these events were provided by the 95th Separate Air Assault Polissia Brigade, which is actively participating in combat operations.
