The State Agency for Water Resources of Ukraine has undertaken a significant update of its electronic services portal, marking a crucial step towards the digitalization of the water sector. This update includes a new interface, a proprietary mapping platform, and advanced analytical tools.

The State Agency for Water Resources of Ukraine (Dergvodahentstvo) has implemented a comprehensive update of its electronic services portal, which represents an important advancement in the digitalization of the water sector. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture. The revamped portal not only features a new interface but has also introduced its own mapping platform and enhanced analytical tools, significantly improving access to services for all users.

Irina Ovcharenko, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating: "Digitalization of the water sector is a vital step towards increasing transparency and efficiency in water resource management overall. The updated portal provides convenient access to services and creates modern tools for both users and specialists."

The new mapping platform, based on open data, has significantly increased the speed of interactive map operations and ensured service stability without reliance on third-party paid solutions. This means that users can obtain information more quickly and effectively, which is particularly crucial when rapid responses to changes in the water environment are necessary.

Additionally, the portal features updated navigation and full adaptation for mobile device use, making it more convenient for users who are often on the move. The Ministry of Economy noted that the updated system has expanded capabilities for handling generalized information regarding water use permits.

Professionals working in this field have received enhanced tools for analysis and reporting, allowing them to perform their duties more effectively. The technical upgrade also ensures rapid data processing even under significant loads, which is an important factor for maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the portal.

The updated portal consolidates key services in the field of water use. Among these are the ability to submit online applications for special water use, cancel permits, submit reports in the form 2TP-water management, as well as access to registries and geodata. This significantly simplifies processes for users, who can carry out necessary actions directly through the internet.

The resource update is part of the state policy on digitalization and increasing transparency in water resource management. The Ministry of Economy emphasized that such changes will promote more efficient use of water resources, which is extremely important in the context of contemporary challenges related to climate change and the growing demand for water.
