Beskrestnov said he had previously considered the possibility of being personally targeted, but did not expect an attack of such scale on his family home. “I could believe in an attempt on my life… but I could never have imagined the enemy would send multiple jet-powered drones at a civilian house to kill everyone,” he said. He did not provide details on the location of the strike. Ukrainian officials have not independently confirmed whether the adviser was specifically targeted. On Monday, Beskrestnov said he was injured after a Russian drone struck his home during a mass overnight attack. “Tonight the Russians tried to kill me. They launched four jet-powered Shahed drones at me. One of them hit the wall of my house. I no longer have a home,” Beskrestnov wrote, adding that he survived with minor injuries. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 142 drones overnight , including Shahed-type UAVs, with air defenses downing or suppressing 113 of them.
