Daily Humanity Foundation Delivers 10 'Candy' Drone Detectors to Suspilne News

As part of an initiative called the 'Drone Detector Rental Library,' the Daily Humanity Foundation has transferred ten 'Candy' drone detectors to the media group Suspilne News. This handover aims to equip journalists working in hazardous conditions with essential tools to detect threats posed by enemy drones.

During a press conference held at the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Tuesday, Suspilne News producer Anastasia Isayenkova emphasized the importance of this step. 'Ukrainian journalists working near combat zones are targets for the enemy. Therefore, the transfer of ten detectors is one more chance for our survival,' she noted, highlighting the risks faced by journalists on the front lines.

Isayenkova also shared that currently, around one hundred correspondents from Suspilne News are operating near the line of combat engagement. 'As journalists, we cannot carry electronic warfare systems or weapons to protect ourselves from Russian drones. Therefore, having a drone detector that warns of threats is crucial for our survival,' she added, stressing that such technologies can significantly enhance the safety of journalists.

It is worth noting that not all media representatives have the means to purchase 'Candy' drone detectors, which cost approximately 3,000 hryvnias. To address this issue, the 'Drone Detector Rental Library' has been established, allowing verified media personnel to rent detectors free of charge. This initiative will provide journalists access to 50 detectors that they can use while carrying out their professional duties in the field.

Thus, the Daily Humanity Foundation not only supports journalists but also promotes the development of safe working conditions for media in Ukraine. In a time of war, when risks for journalists are escalating, such initiatives become particularly vital for ensuring their safety and ability to fulfill their professional responsibilities.
