Men Who Attacked Judge in Dnipro in March Arrested – Police

In Dnipro, police have apprehended a group of men suspected of attacking a judge in March. The law enforcement agency conducted a large-scale special operation leading to the arrest of individuals involved in this crime.

In a significant development, the police in Dnipro have arrested a group of men believed to be responsible for an attack on a judge that occurred earlier this year in March. The arrests followed an extensive special operation carried out by law enforcement, which successfully detained individuals linked to this serious crime. According to the National Police, the arrested men are aged between 33 and 36 years.

The police have announced that the detained individuals have been charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Specifically, they are suspected of attempting to unlawfully deprive a person of their liberty or kidnapping (part 3 of article 15, part 2 of article 146), threatening or using violence against a judge (part 2 of article 377), and hooliganism (part 4 of article 296). Authorities have indicated that they are considering the imposition of preventive measures in the form of detention for the suspects.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and police are actively working to identify other possible participants in the crime, as well as its masterminds. The attack on the judge occurred on March 13 at approximately 5:00 PM in the Sobornyi district of Dnipro, when the woman exited her vehicle. She was assaulted by three men who inflicted bodily harm upon her before fleeing the scene in a car.

Investigators have determined that the attack was connected to the professional activities of the victim, suggesting that the assailants may have had motives related to her work. As part of the investigation, 38 authorized searches were conducted in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions at the residences and vehicles of the individuals involved in the case.

It is worth noting that in March of this year, sources from the Ukrainian media reported on the attack on the judge, which took place near the entrance of her apartment building. Unknown assailants, who arrived in a vehicle without license plates, struck the woman on the head, used pepper spray, and attempted to force her into their car. The attack also injured the victim's husband, who tried to intervene and prevent the abduction.

This incident has sparked widespread public concern, as attacks on judges represent a serious crime that threatens the independence of the judicial system. Law enforcement agencies emphasize the importance of investigating such crimes and ensuring the safety of judges who perform their duties under heightened risk conditions.
