Emerald asserted that he had 'very compelling reasons to threaten his life,' yet such statements only underscored the danger posed by his actions.
In response to these threats, the FBI executed a search warrant at Emerald's residence. Law enforcement officers were compelled to use a battering ram to gain entry into his apartment. During the search, authorities discovered six blades of varying lengths, two of which were identified as long swords.
