As of Tuesday morning, April 7, the National Energy Company of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, reported significant power outages across the country caused by adverse weather conditions and military shelling.

As of Tuesday morning, April 7, the National Energy Company of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, reported significant power outages across the country caused by adverse weather conditions and military shelling. According to a statement on their official Facebook page, over 170 settlements in nine regions have been fully or partially left without electricity due to heavy rain and strong winds. The affected regions include Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.

Repair crews from regional energy companies are actively working to address the damages to restore power supply as quickly as possible. However, the situation is further complicated by enemy actions, as drone, missile, and artillery strikes have left consumers without power in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, and Odesa regions as of Tuesday morning. Energy workers are attempting to commence repairs in areas where safety conditions permit.

According to information available as of 9:30 AM on Tuesday, electricity consumption levels matched those of the previous day. This indicates that despite the challenges, Ukrainians are striving to adhere to electricity consumption guidelines.

In light of this situation, Ukrenergo is urging all citizens to conserve energy across all regions of Ukraine. 'Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances from 6 PM to 10 PM and avoid turning on multiple such appliances simultaneously,' the company stated. This will help reduce the load on the electrical grid and facilitate a quicker restoration of power supply.

As previously reported, in all regions of Ukraine on Tuesday, April 7, power supply restrictions for industrial consumers will be in effect from 7 AM to 11 AM. This decision has been made to ensure the stability of the energy system and prevent possible emergencies.

In the face of military actions and natural disasters, Ukrainians are demonstrating remarkable resilience and readiness to confront the challenges facing the country. It is crucial for everyone to follow the recommendations of energy specialists and exhibit awareness in electricity usage, as this will help maintain energy stability and support the operation of critical infrastructure.
