Budanov Anticipates American Delegation in Kyiv After Easter – Media

An American delegation, including representatives from the U.S. administration, is expected to visit Kyiv after April 12, according to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The American delegation, which will comprise representatives from the U.S. administration, including presidential envoy Stephen Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, may visit the Ukrainian capital Kyiv after April 12. This information was relayed by Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in a comment to Bloomberg, as reported by the publication 'European Truth.'

Budanov noted that Republican Senator Lindsey Graham may also join the delegation. 'Kushner, Witkoff, Lindsey Graham – these are the people we expect. Who else will be there – we will see,' he emphasized, pointing out the significance of this visit for Ukrainian diplomacy.

The head of the President's Office also highlighted that Ukraine could receive more substantial security guarantees following the visit of the American delegation. 'We have long defined what we want. I think this will be realized soon. What comes next is another question. But regarding security guarantees, we have certainly made progress – we are already moving forward,' Budanov stated, expressing an optimistic outlook on further negotiations.

It is important to note that the visit of the American delegation occurs against a backdrop of increasing threats from Russia and the necessity to enhance Ukraine's security. Budanov also added that Ukraine has received requests from foreign allies regarding the cessation of regular airstrikes on Russian oil refineries. This request has become relevant amid the rapid rise in global oil and fuel prices, driven by the ongoing war in Iran.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently invited an American negotiation delegation to Kyiv. According to the president, in the coming days, Ukraine plans to submit responses to questions arising regarding these security guarantees in the developed document from the U.S. This move signifies an intensification of Ukraine's diplomatic efforts in seeking support from its international partners.

The visit of American high-ranking officials could mark an important stage in strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, as well as ensuring stability and security in the region. It is expected that discussions during the meetings will cover not only security issues but also economic aspects of cooperation, which are extremely important in light of contemporary challenges.
