Father Suspected of Raping His 16-Year-Old Daughter, Resulting in the Birth of a Premature Child

In the Lozivskyi district of Kharkiv region, a shocking case is unfolding in which a father is suspected of raping his own 16-year-old daughter. As a result of this horrific crime, the girl gave birth to a premature child. This information has been confirmed by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to law enforcement officials, the girl has intellectual disabilities, which render her unable to adequately assess the situations she finds herself in. The investigation revealed that the suspect, fully aware of his daughter's mental state, committed sexual violence against her. This case has sparked outrage not only among local residents but also within society as a whole.

According to investigators, the man committed the crime while under the influence of alcohol. He took advantage of the moment when his wife and four other children were not at home, which, in the opinion of law enforcement, indicates his cynical intent.

In March 2026, the girl gave birth to a premature child. Following this, a DNA test was conducted, confirming that the father of the infant is indeed the biological father of the 16-year-old mother. This fact serves as further evidence of the horrific circumstances surrounding the case.

Serhiy Kolesnyk, the head of the Lozivskyi District Prosecutor's Office in Kharkiv region, commented on the situation, stating: "The father knew that his child, due to her mental state, was unable to fully comprehend events and resist, and he exploited this for his own cynical needs. Instead of being a support and protector for his daughter, who requires special care, he violated her sexual integrity. We will make every effort to gather the necessary evidence to hold the suspect accountable. Such acts against children, especially when committed by parents, are inexcusable."

Currently, law enforcement is actively gathering evidence to confirm the systematic nature of the rape perpetrated by the victim's biological father. The man has already been formally charged with the rape of a minor with whom he has a familial relationship, in accordance with Part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect has been taken into custody, indicating the seriousness of the situation and the readiness of law enforcement to act decisively.
