American AI startup Anthropic has signed a new agreement with Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., and Broadcom Inc. This deal will provide Anthropic with access to additional computing resources with several gigawatts of power, marking a significant step for the company as it seeks to expand its infrastructure to support its AI model, Claude, amid a rapidly growing demand for its services.
In a statement, Anthropic noted that the company is witnessing "exponential" growth in its customer base. Specifically, in February 2023, when Anthropic conducted its latest investment round, the number of corporate clients spending over $1 million per year was just over 500. Now, that number has surpassed 1,000, indicating that the client base has doubled in less than two months, reflecting significant interest in the company's technologies.
Anthropic's revenue is also showing impressive growth rates, exceeding an annualized figure of $30 billion. In comparison, at the end of 2025, this figure was around $9 billion. Such numbers indicate that the company is capable of rapidly scaling its operations and attracting new clients in the field of artificial intelligence.
According to the terms of the new partnership, the new computing power to be provided to Anthropic under the agreement with Google and Broadcom will be available starting in 2027. The majority of these resources will be located within the United States. At the end of last year, Anthropic announced plans to invest $50 billion in the development of computing infrastructure in the U.S., further confirming its intentions to become a leader in the field of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, the company will continue to expand its use of the suite of cloud and AI solutions offered by Google. These include services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, and others, which will help Anthropic optimize its processes and enhance operational efficiency. This partnership with technology giants opens new opportunities for the company, which aims to remain at the forefront of innovation in the field of artificial intelligence.
