Second Ukrainian Championship in Amputee Football Kicks Off on April 4

Starting April 4, 2023, Ukraine will host its second championship in amputee football, featuring 18 teams from across the country. The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) announced that the competition will span five rounds and will take place in two divisions: the Super League and the First League.

On April 4, 2023, the second Ukrainian Championship in amputee football will commence, showcasing the talent and determination of athletes with disabilities. This year's championship will see participation from 18 teams hailing from various regions of Ukraine, reflecting the growing popularity of amputee football in the country. According to the press service of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), the matches will unfold over five rounds, divided into two competitive tiers: the Super League and the First League.

The championship is set to feature an impressive total of over 150 matches, highlighting the increasing interest in amputee football and the athletes' eagerness to compete at a high level. Teams will represent a variety of cities and regions, underscoring the diversity and scale of this significant sporting event.

Among the teams participating in the championship are notable clubs such as 'Pokrova AMP' from Lviv, 'Crusaders' from Lutsk, 'Shakhtar Steel' from Donetsk, 'MSK Dnipro' from Cherkasy, 'Metalist 1925 Unbreakable' from Kharkiv, 'Kolos Bureviy' from Kyiv region, 'Vikings' from Ternopil, 'Bartka' from Ivano-Frankivsk, 'Veres Mriya' from Rivne, 'Dnipro Honor' from Dnipro, 'Vinnytsia AMP' from Vinnytsia, 'Podilsky Wolves' from Khmelnytskyi, 'Steel Bukovina' from Chernivtsi, 'Pokrova AMP 2' from Lviv, 'Kryvbas AMP' from Kryvyi Rih, and 'Obolon Proryv' from Kyiv.

The matches will take place in eight cities across Ukraine: Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zhytomyr. This geographical spread is expected to attract a large number of spectators and support teams from different regions, undoubtedly contributing to the development of amputee football in Ukraine.
