According to regional authorities, medics provided all necessary assistance at the scene. Neither victim required hospitalization, and their lives are not in danger.
The attack also damaged apartment windows, the facade of a multi-story residential building, and a vehicle.
“This is yet another reminder that the enemy targets peaceful life and our homes. I urge everyone: do not ignore air raid alerts. Stay in safe places while the threat remains,” Kalashnyk said.
On the night of May 5, air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv and several northern and central regions of Ukraine amid warnings of a possible Russian ballistic missile attack.
The Ukrainian Air Force issued the alert on Telegram , warning of the threat of ballistic missile launches and urging residents to move to shelters immediately as high-speed targets were detected heading toward the capital.
The ballistic threat was first reported late on May 4 and continued into the early hours of May 5. Initial reports from the Kyiv City Military Administration indicated that air defense units were active in the region.
