According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s defense council, the strike involved a direct hit on an apartment building, causing casualties. Regional officials later confirmed that two civilians were killed. This included a 43‑year‑old man and a 65‑year‑old woman. Vilkul said the attack involved a Shahed‑type drone, widely used by Russian forces in strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Among the wounded was a nine‑month‑old child, who suffered a leg injury, and was urgently evacuated to hospital, where doctors are providing ongoing medical care. The strike comes amid continued attacks across the region.
