Air raid alerts were declared across most regions of the country. As of 3:30 a.m. local time in Ukraine (00:30 GMT), a large number of Russian attack drones were reported in Ukrainian airspace. Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea area at around 2:30 a.m. local time in Ukraine (23:30 GMT), the Air Force said. “Cruise missile launches were likely carried out by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea area,” the Air Force reported. “Dnipro – take shelter! Missiles and UAVs are heading toward the city,” the Air Force warned. Following the warning, a series of loud explosions were heard in Kharkiv and Dnipro. The military urged Ukrainians to follow official updates and not ignore air raid alerts. Information on casualties was not immediately available.
